Glenn E. Nelson

Master Sergeant (Retired) Glenn E. Nelson, 71, died Saturday, February 17, 2007 in Columbus, Georgia.

MSG Nelson was born in Dexter, Ohio, on March 19, 1935 and lived in Columbus, Georgia for the past 50 years.

MSG Nelson was a Service Rifle shooter and later a rifle gunsmith with the U.S. Army Marksmanship Unit. Glenn was awarded the U. S. Army Distinguished Rifleman Badge in 1962.

MSG Nelson retired from the U.S. Army with 22 years of service having served in the Korean Conflict and the Vietnam War. After his military career, he was president and owner of Nelson's Custom Gun Shop for 30 years.
