Arthur S. Manchester

Major (Retired) Arthur S. Manchester died May 30, 2008. MAJ Manchester was a resident of Anaheim, California. MAJ Manchester entered the military in 1943 and completed 41 years of active and reserve service.

He fired with the U.S. Army Pistol Team in 1952-1954 before the formation of the Army Marksmanship Unit. He was one of the first Army pistol shooters to fire a perfect 200 Timed Fire score in competition -- a rare feat in that era.
