Staff Sergeant
Jason A. Parker, is an International Rifle shooter assigned to the
U.S. Army Marksmanship Unit, Fort Benning, Georgia.
SSG Parker was
raised in Omaha, Nebraska, and graduated from Bryan High School of
Omaha in 1992. He received a degree in psychology from Xavier
University of Cincinnati, Ohio, in 1996. Parker enlisted
in the Army in January 1997. After he completed Basic and
Infantry Training, he was assigned to the U.S. Army Marksmanship Unit
in April 1997. Parker also attended the following military schools at
Fort Benning, Georgia: Primary Leadership Development Course in 1999
and Basic Noncommissioned Officer Course in 2001.
SSG Parker's
military awards include two Army Commendation Medals, two Army
Achievement Medals, the Good Conduct Medal, two Noncommissioned
Officer Professional Development Ribbons, the Army Service Ribbon,
the Army Superior Unit Award, and the U.S. International
Distinguished Shooter Badge.
SSG Parker started
shooting in 1988. The following are highlights of his career.
