Sergeant First
Class "Todd" Graves, a Shotgun Shooter
with the US Army Marksmanship Unit, was selected as the Military
Marksmanship Association Soldier of the Year
for 2000.
The Association's
President, "Mac"
Johnson, made the announcement at
the Annual Meeting on January 20,
2001.
The
Soldier of the Year award is a trophy pistol donated by Smith
& Wesson Firearms Corporation.

Sergeant First
Class James "Todd" Graves, is a shotgun shooter assigned to
the U.S. Army Marksmanship Unit, Fort Benning, Georgia.
SFC Graves was
raised in Laurel, Mississippi, and graduated from West Jones High
School in 1982. Todd enlisted in the Army in 1984 and was assigned to
the Marksmanship Unit after he completed Basic and Infantry Training
at Fort Benning, Ga. In 1990, he was assigned as a team leader with
the 20th Infantry Regiment in Korea, then returned to the U.S. Army
Marksmanship Unit in 1991. Todd has attended the Primary Leadership
Development Course, Instructor Training Course, and Basic
Noncommissioned Officers Course.
