Captain Glenn A. Dubis is an international rifle shooter currently assigned with the U.S. Army Marksmanship Unit, Fort Benning, Georgia. CPT Dubis was selected as the Association Shooter of the Year for his shooting skills in 1994.

Raised in Pennsylvania, Dubis graduated from Bethel Park High School, Bethel Park, Pa., in 1977. He received a bachelor's degree in agronomy from Pennsylvania State University in 1981 and a master's degree in sports management from the U.S. Sports Academy in Daphne, Ala., in 1989.

Dubis joined the U.S. Army in 1982 and was assigned to the U.S. Army Marksmanship Unit. From 1984 to 1985, he was a platoon leader with the 197th Infantry Brigade at Fort Benning. After completing the Infantry Officers Advanced Course in 1985, he came back to the Marksmanship Unit. In 1989, he attended Combined Arms Services and Staff School then returned briefly to the Marksmanship Unit to serve as the assistant operations and training officer. He then served as adjutant of the 1st Battalion, 41st Infantry, 2nd Armored Division, in Germany. In 1990, he moved to brigade level as the officer in charge of the Emergency Operations Center. He deployed with the brigade as the assistant operations officer to Southwest Asia for Operation Desert Storm. In 1991, he returned to the U.S. Army Marksmanship Unit.
